Two types of Tinnitus

Subjective tinnitus: This is a perceived noise is only heard by the affected individual and can be impacted by noise exposure. It’s usually traced to auditory or neurological problems. 

Objective tinnitus: This is when the patient’s tinnitus is not only heard by the patient but also the examiner or other person nearby. It is a rare form of tinnitus and has been linked to the change of blood flow from the artery in your neck or or vein in the neck/back of skull.
